Best Practices Checklist
Follow these to make sure your TikTok account is optimized for ongoing growth
Check Popularity of Old Videos
The TikTok recommendation algorithm regularly puts older videos back into rotation. Check to see if any of your older videos have received a lot of views in the past day – if they have, consider whether you should bring back more of that content.
You can see this on the daily dashboard page.

Identify Which Video Got the Most Views
Very often, your most recent video will not be the one which got you the most views yesterday, and it's hard to track how many views all of your videos get over time.
The daily dashboard page shows how many views and likes each of your videos got over the past 24 hours.

Track Your Follower Sourcing
Sometimes your most popular videos are not the ones which actually drive new followers. By regularly checking which of your videos are causing people to follow you, you can adjust your content to be the types of videos which most cause people to follow you.
You can see this on the follower sourcing page.

Track Watch Percentage
Look at the watch percentage of your last few videos – if people are watching your content all the way through, they are probably enjoying it, and your account has a higher chance of success. If your watch percentage is lower than you would like, consider using more exciting openings.

Identify Videos that were Moderated Out
Videos with a large number of total views but few FYP views may have been moderated. If you have any videos like this, particularly if they have a high watch percentage and engagement rate, consider whether your videos may have violated any TikTok community guidelines.

Identify Videos With A Large Number of Hashtag or Sound Views
Getting to the top of a hashtag or sound is challenging, but if you succeed you can get a ton of views. Check for videos with a large number of hashtag or sound views – if you find one, investigate which hashtag or sound you were successful using and consider making more of those videos.

Identify Your Best Tags
Tags serve as a helpful hint to the recommendation algorithm about the sort of person who would find your content interesting.
The tag advice page shows your most frequently used tags and how they perform.
We recommend identifying a few tags that have performed unusually well for you in the past, and creating more of that type of content.
Identify Whether You Are Getting Enough Comments
Some people naturally get a lot of comments on their videos. Others have content which doesn't naturally make people comment. Your like per comment ratio will tell you how you compare to others.

Update and Track your TikTok Goals
You can set up specific, measurable and time bound goals related to your TikTok growth. These can be tracked from your Daily Review dashboard, make sure to keep track of progress and update them as you grow.
Effective goal setting will keep you focused and increase the probability of reaching what you're aiming for.
